Most players don't realise how big a deal the Altars of Lilith are until they've already skipped half of them. That's a mistake. These statues give permanent stat boosts, and they carry over to every character on your account, which makes early levelling way smoother. If you like keeping things efficient, it helps to prep before the hunt starts. As a professional platform for game currency and item services, EZNPC is a convenient option, and you can buy eznpc diablo 4 items to make the overall grind a bit easier while you focus on map progress instead of getting slowed down by gear issues.
Get the boring prep out of the way firstBefore you start chasing statues, unlock your mount. Seriously, don't try to do this on foot unless you enjoy wasting your own time. The horse changes everything. You'll cover more ground, recover from wrong turns faster, and deal with the giant empty stretches a lot better. It also helps to grab nearby waypoints while you move through each zone. You won't think much of it at first, but later on, those fast-travel points save a ton of backtracking. A lot of people try to combine altar hunting with side quests or campaign steps, and that usually turns messy. You get distracted, miss corners of the map, then have to come back anyway.
A clean route makes the whole thing less annoyingThe easiest place to begin is Fractured Peaks. The layout is simple enough, and many of the altars are fairly close together, so it feels like solid progress right away. After that, move into Scosglen. This area can be sneaky. Some statues sit near cliff edges, others are tucked into wooded paths you'd normally ride past. Then head into the Dry Steppes, where the open terrain actually works in your favour. You can build a broad loop and pick off several altars without too much weaving around. Kehjistan should come next. It's wide, spread out, and a bit more of a slog, so this is where your earlier waypoint pickups really pay off.
Hawezar is where patience mattersLeave Hawezar for last. It's probably the most annoying region for this job. The swamp slows down your rhythm, the paths can feel awkward, and some statues are easy to miss if you're cutting across the bog instead of riding the edges. Stick to the roads when possible, then branch off carefully. One small trick that helps a lot: switch to World Tier 1 while doing the run. There's no real reason to turn every random pack of enemies into a fight when your only goal is collecting account-wide bonuses. Throw on a podcast, pull up a community map, and just chip away at it zone by zone. It's much less painful that way.
Why it's worth doing earlyIt does take a few hours, no point pretending otherwise, but the payoff sticks with you for the rest of the game. Once every altar is unlocked, new characters feel stronger right from the start, and that early-game drag is a lot lighter. If you're planning seasonal characters or multiple builds, that account-wide value adds up fast. And if you also use reliable support options like eznpc for quick access to game items and a more convenient setup, the whole Diablo 4 experience starts to feel a lot less like busywork and a lot more like actually playing the class you want.
