Hero Siege Season 10 gives Marksman's Vault a surprisingly important identity shift. The skill and nearly all of its subnodes now carry the Projectile tag, with iArrow remaining the clear exception, so players who previously treated Vault as a self-contained ability should revisit their assumptions. This also makes Hero Siege Gold more relevant to testing gear combinations, since small equipment changes may now reveal interactions that were invisible in older versions.

The update does not automatically turn every projectile-focused setup into a stronger build. Instead, it opens a narrow but useful testing space around tags, node wording, and damage delivery. Marksman players should focus on identifying which bonuses affect Vault directly, which influence only its arrows, and which appear attractive on paper but fail to improve real combat performance.

Why the Projectile Tag Matters

The most immediate consequence is that Vault can now qualify for effects that check for Projectile skills. Bonuses to projectile damage are the obvious starting point, but they are not the only possible interaction. Projectile speed, additional projectile effects, piercing behavior, and modifiers aimed at ranged attacks may also deserve attention if their descriptions use broad tag-based language.

That distinction matters because a bonus can apply to the arrows created by Vault without improving the movement skill itself. A faster projectile may change how quickly an arrow reaches a target, while an attack-speed bonus might affect the character's firing rhythm but leave Vault's internal timing untouched. Players should read each effect literally rather than assuming that every ranged modifier scales every part of the ability.

Reconsidering Existing Vault Nodes

Older Vault builds often prioritize familiar defensive or mobility choices because the skill's main purpose was repositioning while dealing moderate damage. With the new tag, a node that increases projectile output may compete more seriously with a comfortable utility option. The best choice depends on whether Vault is being used as a primary attack, a traversal tool, or a way to maintain damage while escaping danger.

iArrow deserves particular attention because it does not share the Projectile tag. If a node path relies on iArrow for a specific firing pattern, projectile-based bonuses may produce uneven results across the full skill package. That can make a mixed route feel weaker than expected, especially when the untagged component represents a large part of the build's practical damage.

What to Test Before Changing Gear

Begin with controlled comparisons. Record Vault damage against the same target, then change only one item, node, or passive that grants a Projectile-related bonus. Test both close-range and long-range hits, since travel distance, piercing, and projectile speed can affect how much damage reaches the intended target in actual encounters.

It is also worth checking area clearing, boss damage, resource flow, and survival time rather than relying on a single large number. A damage increase that forces awkward positioning or removes a defensive node may reduce the build's overall effectiveness. Pay attention to whether extra projectiles spread too widely, whether they pierce reliably, and whether Vault remains responsive during crowded fights.

A More Focused Season 10 Direction

The new tag makes Vault more flexible, but it does not erase the value of established Marksman fundamentals. The strongest approach is likely a focused hybrid that uses Projectile bonuses where they produce measurable gains while preserving enough mobility and defense for difficult content. Players should keep their current setup until testing confirms that the new interactions improve their actual play pattern.

For those experimenting with several equipment versions, choosing to buy cheap Hero Siege Gold can make repeated trials easier, but the real advantage comes from careful comparisons and clear combat goals. Season 10 rewards players who test Vault as a tagged projectile skill without forgetting what made the build reliable in the first place.
