Carrying valuable equipment changes the meaning of every sound in ARC Raiders. A Snitch Scanner encounter is no longer just a chance to collect extra resources; it becomes a fast judgment test involving noise, exposure, and the risk of losing everything already secured. Players who regularly review ARC Raiders BluePrints will know how much a single high-tier item can influence a run, so the correct response is rarely based on firepower alone.

The 1.45.0 update gives the Snitch Scanner a more dangerous role by allowing it to spawn ARC in a way that resembles a normal Snitch, with a smaller chance of calling in tougher machines. That uncertainty makes preparation and timing more important than simply reacting to the first alarm.

Read the Situation Before Opening Fire

When the scanner activates, first identify your surroundings. Check whether you are near hard cover, a building with multiple exits, a slope that can break line of sight, or an open zone where every movement will be visible. Listen for nearby players as carefully as you listen for ARC. The scanner can attract attention from both directions, and a loud fight may turn a manageable encounter into a crowded one.

Ask what your current loot is worth compared with the likely reward. If your backpack contains rare components, completed objectives, or items needed for a future upgrade, survival should carry more weight than clearing the area. A scanner is useful only when you can leave afterward.

Solo Decisions: Fight Only on Your Terms

Solo players should engage when the first ARC appears in a controlled position and the escape route remains open. Use cover to create short firing windows, then relocate before the machines or other players can lock onto your position. Avoid standing beside the scanner, since that turns the objective into a predictable fighting pit.

Repositioning is often better than committing to a full battle. Move far enough to break the immediate pressure, then watch from concealment. If the ARC moves away or another group arrives, let them create the noise while you decide whether the scanner is still worth approaching. When the encounter produces a stronger machine, or your armor and ammunition are already strained, leave the zone without waiting for a perfect finish.

Squad Play Requires a Clear Exit Plan

Squads have more options, but they also create more noise. One player can monitor the scanner and nearby routes while the others hold staggered positions rather than clustering around the objective. This arrangement makes it easier to recognize a third-party approach and gives the team several directions for retreat.

Before firing, agree on a fallback location and a simple condition for leaving, such as damaged armor, depleted healing supplies, or the arrival of additional ARC. If the fight becomes unstable, one teammate should guide the withdrawal while the others cover movement. Protecting the player carrying the most valuable loot is usually more important than protecting the scanner itself.

When Walking Away Is the Best Result

Abandon the area when the terrain is exposed, the scanner has drawn repeated attention, or the reward does not justify the ammunition and repair costs. Mark the location mentally and return later only if the route is quiet. A delayed opportunity is still available; lost equipment is not.

The strongest response to a Snitch Scanner is disciplined judgment. Fight when the position favors you, hide when information is limited, reposition when pressure rises, and retreat before greed removes your options. That mindset also makes it easier to decide when to ARC Raiders buy BluePrints for future preparation, because keeping your current haul is the foundation of every successful run.
