The Bettina has historically been one of the most misunderstood weapons in ARC Raiders. For a long time, players dismissed it as an expensive, clunky ammo sink. However, recent balancing patches—specifically the Riven Tides update—fundamentally changed how this Epic heavy-ammo assault rifle behaves. By bumping the base magazine size from 20 to 22 rounds, cutting the agonizing reload time down from 5.0 seconds to 4.5 seconds, reducing baseline bloom, and introducing major armor penetration buffs against ARC units, the Bettina has transformed into a high-tier option.
Because it functions like a hard-hitting mini-LMG with a slow, punchy fire rate, it requires a deliberate hand and the exact right weapon modifications to shine. Based on extensive community testing and meta consensus, here are the best attachment builds for the Bettina to suit your specific tactical approach.
1. The Laser Beam (Meta All-Rounder Build)
If you want to completely negate the Bettina’s signature kick and turn it into a hyper-accurate laser for mid-to-long-range engagements, this setup prioritizes absolute recoil reduction and tight shot stabilization. It is currently the most popular meta setup for general raiding and efficient ARC farming.
  • Muzzle: Compensator III. This is non-negotiable for raw DPS. While higher-tier compensators increase the weapon's durability burn rate, a Compensator III drastically reduces both per-shot and maximum shot dispersion. This ensures your bullet spread stays heavily concentrated on your crosshair during prolonged bursts.
  • Underbarrel: Angled Grip III (or Angled Grip II as a budget alternative). The Bettina naturally suffers from a drift toward the upper-right corner. The Angled Grip series specifically mitigates this horizontal drift without crushing your Aim Down Sights (ADS) speed the way heavy Horizontal Grips do.
  • Stock: Stable Stock III. This stock dramatically improves your dispersion and recoil recovery rate, allowing your reticle to snap back to its baseline position much faster. For a slow-firing heavy rifle like the Bettina, this recovery speed allows you to maintain pinpoint accuracy over sustained fights.

2. The Long-Range Battle Rifle Setup
Some of the most successful Raiders don't use the Bettina as a full-auto weapon at all. Instead, they treat it like a semi-automatic battle rifle—rhythmically tap-firing at distant weak points. This build maximizes bullet velocity and extends your effective range across massive, wide-open maps.
  • Muzzle: Extended Barrel. The Bettina suffers from a sluggish baseline muzzle velocity. The Extended Barrel fixes this problem entirely, increasing bullet speed and pushing out your damage fall-off profiles so your heavy rounds still hit like a freight train at a distance.
  • Underbarrel: Horizontal Grip III. Because you are spacing out your shots, you want to eliminate any unpredictable left-to-right weapon sway entirely. This grip locks down lateral jump, making it simple to track moving flying targets or pinpoint distant drone rotors.
  • Stock: Stable Stock III. Essential for tap-firing, as it ensures your crosshair resets instantly between individual pulls of the trigger.

3. The Sustained Full-Auto PVE Build
If your goal is to stand your ground and melt high-value targets like Rocketeers, Harvesters, or large armored ARC units up close, you need a build that can survive continuous, heavy full-auto sprays.
  • Muzzle: Compensator III. Without a high-tier compensator, holding down the trigger causes the weapon’s bloom to expand wildly, wasting expensive heavy ammunition.
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Grip III. While horizontal drift is annoying, the pure upward vertical climb during a full 22-round dump is massive. A Vertical Grip III helps pull that heavy muzzle rise back down.
  • Stock: Padded Stock. This is a highly contested choice, but it pays off for pure PVE sprayers. The Padded Stock reduces both vertical and horizontal recoil while directly lowering per-shot dispersion buildup. The major trade-off here is a noticeable penalty to your weapon-swapping and ADS speeds, meaning you must be pre-aimed and positioned well before firing.

4. The Anti-ARC Specialization Build
If you are specifically hunting massive machines and farming rare components, you need to abandon traditional handling stats in favor of raw armor-breaking capabilities.
To maximize this playstyle, players often head to trusted trading communities like U4N to secure rare weapon plans. When you manage to buy arc raiders blueprints for high-tier modifications, you unlock options like the Kinetic Converter. Swapping your standard stock out for a Kinetic Converter significantly increases the Bettina's fire rate. While this does introduce a much more violent recoil pattern, it allows you to strip away heavy ARC armor chunks and blow off structural components in half the time. To balance out the extreme kick of the converter, pair it with a heavy Muzzle Brake if you plan on selectively stripping armor, or stick to a Compensator III if you intend to shred plates at close range.
Inventory Management Tip: Keep in mind that heavy ammo only stacks to 40 rounds per inventory slot. Because a fully automatic Bettina build can easily chew through 300 to 400 rounds in a single chaotic encounter against heavy armor, ensure your inventory is heavily stocked with ammo crates before deploying.
